Book Hope Lloyd for Speaking, Training & Survivor-Led Education

As a survivor of 13 years of labor trafficking, I use my voice to educate, train, and advocate for trauma-informed change. I’ve spent over a decade speaking at universities, shelters, law enforcement training, and community events—offering a lived-experience perspective on labor trafficking, long-term recovery, and survivor empowerment.

In addition to public speaking, I mentor girls—many of whom are survivors or simply navigating life’s harder moments—and guide them in building confidence, strength, and direction.

My work focuses on awareness, education, and survivor-led approaches to healing and systems change.

Topics I Speak On:

  • Labor trafficking awareness and lived experience insight
  • Trauma-informed strategies for support professionals
  • Survivor-led program design and advocacy
  • Creating safe, inclusive spaces for recovery and empowerment
  • Long-term support beyond crisis response

With over 13 years of public speaking and advocacy, here are just a few of the
organizations and events I’ve worked with:

  • Co-Founder, Survivor Network NC (2020) – NC’s first peer-led, peer-run survivor group
  • UNC Pembroke – Speaker and panelist
  • NC Human Trafficking Commission / Speak Up NC – Labor trafficking contributor
  • WRAL / NC Judicial Branch – Survivor collaborator and lived-experience content developer
